Meet Our Ambassadors
Paul Byrne is the Secretary General of the European School Heads Association (ESHA). Paul has over 35 years of experience in advancing educational through systems leadership, school leadership and as a teacher at post-primary level. He previously served as Deputy Director and President of the National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals (NAPD) in Ireland. Since 2014, he has been an active member of ESHA’s General Assembly and joined the ESHA Board in 2018. Paul has represented ESHA and NAPD at both national and international levels, delivering keynote presentations and workshops on school leadership across Europe and beyond. He also served as a council member of the International Confederation of Principals (ICP). Paul is passionate about identifying and sharing best practices in educational leadership, building global networks, and supporting international initiatives and projects.
To actively disseminate the DRONE project by promoting its objectives, progress, research outcomes and resources through strategic communication channels. To create awareness, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge sharing, fostering innovation and collaboration within the DRONE project across Europe and beyond.

Born and raised in Italy, Emanuele majored in Japanese Language and Literature and spent several years teaching English and Italian in Japan, experiencing both integration and discrimination, including bullying, firs-hand. Back in Italy, he held teaching and managerial positions in several educational entities and has worked on a number of integration projects for foreign children in Italy before concentrating on EU-funded projects. He is an experienced interpreter and translator, an author, and a keen practitioner of martial arts. More importantly, he is a happy member of an inter-cultural, inter-faith family.

Alba Francesca Canta is a researcher in Sociology of Cultural Processes at the Polytechnic of Turin since 2025 and previously get her PhD in Sociology of Cultural processes and Education at the University of Roma Tre. Throughout her career, she has dealt with topics such as gender, youth, participation, human development through the capability approach and people’ empowerment, with a focus on educational and cultural processes agency, actively participating in national and international conferences and activities on the topic of education and cultural processes.
Promoting the empowerment of different groups of people interested in education and youth. By researching and disseminating the project through various communication channels and results, my aim will be to create a widespread and accessible education system.

Dr. Panayiota Christodoulidou has been an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Education at the University of Nicosia since 2020. Her academic expertise lies in inclusive education and special needs, and she teaches postgraduate students. She also works part-time as an Associate Lecturer at the Open University, UK. Previously, she taught in secondary schools in Cyprus and contributed to various Ministry of Education programs focused on the education of vulnerable groups, including migrant students and students with disabilities. She holds a BSc in Greek Language and Literature from Ioannina University, Greece, an MA in Educational Studies from the University of Leicester, and a PhD in Inclusive Education from the Institute of Education, UCL, London. Her research interests include inclusive and special needs education, pedagogical models of teaching and learning, innovative educational teaching and learning environments (i.e, designing and implementing inclusive digital teaching tools/ practices, and teachers’ training.

Self-Care Isn’t Selfish: The Key to a Healthier, Happier You"
Dr. Elena Papamichael works as a First Educational Planning Officer at the Pedagogical Institute of the Ministry of Education, Sports, and Youth since 2020. She designs and implements teacher training programs, coordinates the implementation of the Ministry's anti-racist policy, and other training programs of the Pedagogical Institute. She represents the Pedagogical Institute or the Ministry in European research projects and interdisciplinary and multi-thematic committees. She designed and taught for six years in the master’s program for Education for Social Justice at the Open University of Cyprus. In the past, she worked as a Health Education Curriculum Officer in Primary Education, as a teacher in primary schools in Cyprus and in the London Greek community, and as research and teaching staff at the UCL Institute of Education. Dr. Papamichael has participated in international conferences and has published in academic journals. Her interests include teacher education, racism and intersectionality theories, social justice, peace and antiracist education.

Alexandra is a mother of 3 boys, the eldest of whom (16 years old) is in the Autism Spectrum due to a Rare Genetic Disease. She is a specialized Pediatric Nurse (RN, MSc) and has over 22 years of Clinical and Administrative experience at the Children's Hospital of Athens "Agia Sophia". In 2023, she was Certified as a Patient Advocate of the European Patients' Academy (EUPATI Fellow). Furthermore she is specialized about the operation of the European Reference Networks for Rare Diseases (ERNs). She is the author of the practical guide on Autism "QUALITY OF LIFE FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY -FIND THE WAY AMONG NEEDS, RIGHTS, OBLIGATIONS AND AVAILABLE RESOURCES." which was created within the framework of the Grow4Autism project with funding from the Bodossaki Foundation. Through her role as a CYGNET trainer (Parent Support Program for Autism Spectrum Conditions), she helps families of individuals with Autism by providing guidance, especially in the first difficult years of diagnosis. She is a founding member of the NGO "YPOSTIRIZOUME – An Alliance for Neurodiversity" which aims to support neurodivergents and their families, through an individualized but at the same time holistic medical approach.
To communicate the key policies and initiatives of the DRONE project, to evolve the educational system and empower the digital literacy among teachers.

Marijana Kondres is an experienced Erasmus+ evaluator and consultant with a strong background in adult education, European projects, and coaching. She has worked in the Croatian Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes, supporting adult education organisations in developing, applying, and implementing Erasmus+ projects. From 2013 to 2019, she led the Adult Education Department, where she coordinated national and international events for adult education organisations and authored strategic reports for the European Commission and Croatian Ministry of Education. With a Master’s in Economics and additional certifications in Jungian coaching, Marijana brings an integrative perspective to educational development, fostering growth for individuals and institutions. Her strengths lie in her extensive experience evaluating EU projects in education, cross-cultural collaboration, and using coaching methods to empower change.
ESHA is taking the lead in disseminating DRONE educational resources by leveraging its extensive European network of school leaders to promote digital literacy and combat disinformation in schools. Our approach is structured around the following key steps:
- Raising awareness of the DRONE project among school leaders, educators, parents, students, associations, policymakers, and EU institutions.
- Providing targeted training to equip these groups with the tools and knowledge needed to counter disinformation in educational settings.
- Expanding outreach by delivering or promoting training activities through conferences, webinars, and ambassador networks.
- Maximizing impact by using partners’ communication channels and educational media to widely share outcomes and best practices.

- Check the Date: Outdated stories or recycled content are often used to mislead.
- Ask: Who Benefits? Consider the motive behind the message. Is someone trying to sell, sway, or scare?

Dr. Aristidis Protopsaltis is a senior researcher at the Parents International (IPA). He holds a BSc in Primary Education, an MSc in Cognitive Science and Intelligent Computing and a PhD in Cognitive Science and he is a scholar of the Hellenic State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). His background is in Education and Cognitive Science, and his research interest lies in ICT and Education, Serious Games, Teacher Training, Inquiry-based Learning, Information processing theory, Evaluation and Social Innovation. He has been the coordinator of numerous European projects (Horizon 2020 and Erasmus +), in the areas of education, teacher training, e-learning, Social Innovation and Serious Games. He has published numerous peer-reviewed conference and journal papers and served as a program committee member and program and general co-chair in several conferences.

Dr. Márta Turcsányi-Szabó habit. Ph.D. is an associate professor, former vice-dean and now the Dean's Commissioner for Educational Innovation at Eötvös Loránd University, Faculty of Informatics, Hungary. She also taught at (UniVie, Vienna; HBMSU, Dubai; and ‘ICT in Primary’ MOOC, University of London ioE), participated and lead several EU, UNESCO, IFIP projects; organized and chaired several conferences all over the world as well as gave keynote speeches in relation to digital education. Her research area is in the integration of informatics and pedagogy. She received Rezső Tarján prizes for spreading Informatics in early and elementary education and teacher training; best practice in STEM in higher education innovation; iELA gold prize, MultimediaEd ring, Otto Hutter prize for eLearning activities; VISZ best informatics educator; and Szent-Györgyi Albert state prize for establishing a school of thought. She is also the head of STEAM Lab, interdisciplinary makerspace reaching out to public education, recently launching AI related activities for middle school children. Marta is passionate about enjoyable learning strategies.

Evgenia Partasi is a primary school teacher. Since 2021, she works as an Officer at the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute (Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth) in the In-Service Teacher Training Department, where she coordinates the Training Programme for Teaching Greek as Second Language in Pre-primary and Primary schools. She has also worked as an Adjunct Lecturer at Neapolis University, Cyprus and the Open University Cyprus. She has been involved in various research projects in Cyprus and in the UK. She holds an MA in Language, Ethnicity and Education from King’s College, London and a PhD in Education from the University of Bristol. Her research interests include multiculturalism, diversity, social cohesion and intercultural education.

Creating inclusive spaces for everyone in your classroom
Konstantinos Paiteris is the president of the Association of Greek Roma Mediators and their Associates. Konstantinos has 28 years of experience in mediation promoting the value of education in the field of action in settlements and camps in the country. Planning, Organizing and Implementing actions and policies in collaboration with Universities and Institutional Bodies of the state on issues related to Education, Employment and Health with the aim and goal of empowering Youth, empowering Women and members of the Roma community in rights, obligations and claims and on the other hand informing, raising awareness of state bodies for the implementation of policies and actions that will lead to social inclusion. Previously, he has served as Coordinator of the mediators in the Program ''Education of Roma Children'' implemented by the Universities of the country, He is a member of the Committee on the Promotion of Roma Policy, Member of the Monitoring Committee of the New National Strategy for the Roma of the General Secretariat for Social Solidarity and Combating Poverty, Member of the Roma Forum and has represented and promoted respect for human rights at both national and international levels. He collaborates with European Roma and non-Roma organizations as well as with the Council of Europe and designs and implements national and European programs. Its purpose is to highlight the value of mediation and especially the value of education and the participation of young people, the empowerment of the Roma community in the social, economic and political development of the country and of Europe, now knowing their rights.
The actions and results of the project should be made known and analyzed in the communities and in the main team, the development of partnerships and the information, awareness of all and more members of society about the DRONE project as well as the adoption and utilization of the project's tools.
