About Us
Empowering Minds For Critical Thinking
DRONE highlights that the one-size-fits-all approach to teacher & student digital literacy education cannot cope with the increasing diversity of learners & that more & different types of data are needed to complement teacher education, which is mainly based on the epistemological approach.
Our guiding principle:
We aim for a more nuanced approach to digital literacy education.
Empowered educators & students
Languages materials & Publications.
Country Network across Europe.
Our Approach
DRONE’s Three-fold Ecosystem
DRONE leverages a unique three-pronged ecosystem approach to address the challenges of digital literacy education:
Disinformation Ecosystem
It examines how the design of online platforms, social media dynamics, and even human psychology contribute to creating, amplifying, and consuming false information. By understanding these factors, DRONE aims to develop strategies to disrupt the spread of disinformation and empower users to be more critical consumers of online content.
Human Development Ecosystem
It examines how specific factors within their personal ecosystem, such as their perception of risk, how they perceive the passage of time online, and the resources available to help them bounce back from mistakes, interact with their digital literacy and influence their ability to detect disinformation. By understanding these factors, DRONE can develop educational programs that equip young people with the critical thinking skills they need to navigate the online world effectively.
Whole-School Ecosystem
It considers students’ digital literacy and ability to detect disinformation as crucial components of crisis preparedness and management within school communities. By working together, schools can create a safe and supportive environment where students can develop the skills they need to be responsible digital citizens.
