In an era where digital information moves at the speed of light, the ability to distinguish fact from fiction has become a fundamental pillar of modern citizenship. For the most vulnerable members of our society, adolescents navigating complex socio-economic or digital divides, the risks of disinformation are particularly acute.

The DRONE Project (Teacher and school leaders training to promote Digital liteRacy and combat the spread Of disinformation among vulNerable groups of adolEscents) was initiated from a simple but urgent realization: to protect students, we must first empower the educators who lead them.

For this purpose, we are officially launching a mission to train 3,000 teachers and 1,000 school leaders across at least 10 different countries, including a dedicated stream for educators from Ukraine.

The blended training program is split into two distinct, 10-hour phases:

10 Hours of Asynchronous E-Learning: Participants gain access to our cutting-edge Multilingual Learning Management System (LMS). Here, they can explore interactive modules based on the official DRONE handbooks at their own pace, covering everything from detecting “fake news” to understanding the psychology of risk.     10 Hours of Synchronous Online Workshops:  In these live sessions, our expert DRONE Trainers’ Team facilitates experiential workshops. Educators don’t just listen, they collaborate on crisis management scenarios and share strategies for supporting vulnerable students in their specific local contexts.

Why School Leaders Matter

A unique aspect of the DRONE project is our focus on School Leaders. We believe that digital literacy cannot be an isolated classroom subject; it must be a school-wide culture. By training 1,000 principals and management team members, we are helping schools build “Resilience Resources” at an institutional level. When a leader understands the ecosystem of disinformation, they can implement policies that protect the entire school community.

Our training window, running from April 2026 to October 2026, is more than just a series of workshops. Every participant who completes the 20-hour program receives an official Certificate of Attendance validated by our consortium of state-recognized universities and national pedagogical institutes.

By the end of this work package, we will have created a cross-border community of practice. Whether in Cyprus, the Netherlands, Greece, Hungary, Italy, or Ukraine, educators will be equipped with the same evidence-based tools to foster active digital citizenship.

Join the Movement

The spread of disinformation is a global challenge, but the solution starts in the local classroom.

Together, we aren’t just teaching digital literacy; we are building an ecosystem of truth and resilience for the next generation.
