The growth of digital technology, the importance of cyber safety the and the need to embrace AI as a tool for educators is a fact in today’s digital world. This rapidly evolving digital landscape comes with a need for our students and ourselves to become critical consumers of information as false information spreads rapidly, at times, profound consequences. ESHA, as a school leadership association seeks to help assist school leaders in their endeavours to navigate this evolving landscape through active engagement and participation in the EU funded projects such as the DRONE project and SuperCyberKids.

The DRONE Project (Teacher & School Leaders training to promote Digital liteRacy and combat the spread of disinfOrmation among vulNerable groups of adolEscents) aims to equip teachers, school leaders, and parents with the tools and knowledge needed to combat the spread of misinformation and disinformation online by promoting digital literacy and critical thinking skills in schools and communities. The DRONE Project will contribute to the creation of a well-informed, resilient society.

Additionally, DRONE emphasizes that the one-size-fits-all approach to teacher and student digital literacy education is insufficient to meet the diverse needs of learners. A wider range of data and methodologies is needed to enhance school leaders, teacher, and student education.
